Study And Effort Gains Honors Members of National Honor Society were juniors and seniors chosen by the faculty on the basis of scholarship, leadership, character, and service. To be eligible for membership, a student had to have an accumulative average of 88? or higher, which must be maintained. This year new members were initiated on No vember 4. Led by Mr. Bayliss and Mrs. Bea- trice Cote, advisors, N.H.S. served the school by averaging six weeks grades for each home room, revising the Revere Student Handbook, and promoting other projects beneficial to the students of Revere. lx ,YI Through Student Council, each student at Revere had the opportunity to criticize and com- ment on any part of school life to his Student Council representative, who in turn presented these suggestions to Council. Representatives were elected from each class and from the school at-large. The most active student organization at Revere, Council sponsored such activities as Row 1: Marilyn Adams, Barb Osborne, Sue Snodgrass, Sue Vance, Kathy Fogarty, Tammy Tramba, Mary Linder, Gaby Sondermann, Linda Jennings. Reverites Speak Through Student Council Student Council Officers: Mr. Knapp, Kathy Fogarty, Secretarygjohn Bergvall, Vice President, Dan McDon- ald, Treasurer, jeff Springer, President. the Homecoming festivities and the Summit County Cheerleading Contest in March. During the school year Student Council sold candy at noon, helped to choose reserve and varsity cheerleaders, posted weekly events on the bul- letin board, chose student announcers, and per- formed various other service projects.
