Schweisburger, the Bath-Richfield Superintendant, retired. For these thirty-five years of dedicated service, all of them in the Bath-Richfield system, the REVERE REVIEW is dedicating this book. Mr. Schweisburger began teaching at Rich- field in 1928 after graduating from the College of Wooster. He taught mathematics and his- tory for two years before becoming principal of Richfield. In 1948, he took a year's leave of absence to get his Masteris degree at Columbia Teachers' College after which he resumed his position at Richfield. In the fall of 1953, he be- came Superintendant of the system. -3- 7. 1, 'I V' ' 1, - - V. ., lf' Q-.-Lai! u' ' fill . The pep band plays at games. The Y-Teens help the needy. All these and many more give each of us a chance to serve, a chance to learn the rewards of serving. We have beauty all about us, in our school and in our community. Through art, mu- sic, and English classes, we can learn to create beauty, beauty to enrich our lives and rhose ofthe people around us. W -9- 5 Y Q--. , MKS 3..i 56? fm, ,W 4.,4,,,, 'df' L, Character . . This year, we learned from two the meaning of character. joan Kiehl has returned from seven months in New Zealand and has much to say about this little-known country. Gaby Sondermann, besides brightening school life with her gaity, also has much to tell about differences between her country, Germany, and ours and be- tween the peoples of these nations. Both girls are trying to educate us, through conversations with friends as well as through speeches throughout the community. 1:f ,3Y SEQ Sportsmanship . . . A handshake and a pat on the back for an opponent: this is a symbol of sportsman- ship. But it doesnlt stop at the edge ofthe playing field, it extends through the crowd to all edges of our lives. When a friend gets a higher grade, when a role in the class play is lost, when a low rating is received in Forensics, there is always a Chance for a handshake, apat on the back, and a nexttime. -12- Scholarship . . . Scholarship: the reason we are here. We are here to learn the facts that will enable us to find good posi- tions in life.
