STUDENT ANNOUNCERS Student Announcers are sponsored by Student Council and selected by Council through try-outs. Their purpose is to give announcements hand- ed in to the office by students. Dunlap, Secretary STUDENT COUNCIL Presenting the Homecoming Dance and May Dance are the Student Councils biggest tasks. They also supervise elections of Homecoming and May royalty and plan half-time ceremonies for the Home- coming Game. XY'ith funds obtained by the sale of candy during the first semester, Student Council bought coat racks for the school to be used at dances, P.T.A. meetings. and other group gather- ings. They sponsored Dress-Up Day on February 25, had an exchange visit from Hudson High Student Council, and treated the teachers to dinner and a show in Cleveland during March. Membership in Council is strictly through election. A boy and girl from each class and one representative from each club make up the mem- bership, Chemistry Club was recognized and ap- proved by Student Council this year.
