Unfortunately, our enthusiasm was postponed by the twenty-eight inches of snow that buried our city. Seniors remained undaunted despite the delay- The Great Snowstorm of '78 After a slippery bus ride, we arrived at our lodgings. Brickyard Mountain Inn in Laconia, New Hampshire. Over- looking Lake Winnipesaukee, Brickyard offered us a relax- ing atmosphere and provided us with the facilities of health spa as well as a heated pool. On the first night. Seniors enjoyed a delicious dinner in the gourmet restaurant and later took advantage of the moonlight with tobogganing and nightskiing on Brickyard Mountain. Sunday was a busy day as beginners as well as experts conquered the slopes at Gunstock. The following day exhausted skiers relaxed and prepared for the journey home. As the buses pulled away from the Brickyard Moun- tain lnn, the weekend came to a' close but the Seniors will never forget the fantastic memories for the highlight of our last year ---- The Senior Ski Weekend.
