.llnnihnll Wakefield at Revere On October 16 Revere played host to a strong Wakefield team Both teams scored early ln the first period After the openlng kxckoff Revere scored when End Bob Powers blocked a Wakefield punt and fell on the ball 1n the end zone Wakefield came right back ind on the first play following the klCkOff Ralph Tropeano galloped 52 yards to even the score Wlth three minutes left to play ln the final perlod Wakefield marched 55 yards to a touchdown and gave Wakefield a hard earned 12 6 vlctory Revere at Watertown On October 23 Revere High traveled to Vlctory Fleld Watertown to play their first mornmg game of the season It was an unsuccessful bld f0r their first vlctory as the Blue and Whlte bowed to Watertown 19 7 At the end of the first half Watertown was leadlng by the score of 13 0 As ln the Wakefield game Revere s only score came on a blocked punt late ln the final period De Mauro scored the touch dovsn and DFramo converted Revere at Lynn English For the sceond consecutlve Saturday Revere Hlgh played a mormng game and for the slxth consecutlve time they were turned back This tlme Lynn Engllsh stopped our Blue and White in thelr tracks by a 19 0 verdict Lynn English scored thelr first touchdown after the openlng kick off A 15 yard penalty and a fumble set up the other two Lynn touchdowns 1n the last perlod Revere at Lawrence On Sunday November 7 Revere traveled to Lawrence ln quest of their first win of the season Once more they were turned back as they were stopped by a good Lawrence team 25 12 Late ln the game Russo scampered 40 yards off tackle for the Revere score Thelr second touch down was set up by a Lawrence fumble Five plays later Russo once more tallied for Revere Revere at Leominster The Revere Hlgh grid team played then last away game of the season Saturday November 13 previous to their tradltlonal Thanksglvlng Day battle They were completely outclassed by a tronger Leominster team and fell by a score of '34 7 For the first time this season Revere started movmg rlght from the opening klckoff In two mlnutes Reveres offense had driven for their lone touchdown and converslon This lead was soon cut down as Leomlnster scored three quick touchdowns ln the second period and one each m the third and fourth periods to romp over our Blue and Whlte St Mary's at Revere Our Blue and Whlte swept to their first victory of the season ln the postponed ThaI'lkSglVlI'lg Day t1lt whlch was played on the following Sunday afternoon Reveres first touchdown came after a sustamed drlve from their own 13 yard llne Gaxns by Russo Gaff and D Eramo put the ball on the Revere 35 yard stripe Then a Smyr' an to Gxff pass put the ball on the Revere 47 A few plays later with the a1d of a 15 yard penalty agalnst St 'Vlarys D'Eramo scored from 16 yards out for the tally Revere hit pay dirt again in the third period on a Smyrlnan to Gai? forward pass which cowered the last 38 yards Gaff was the standout back for Revere as he gained good yardage on the ground and his punts and punt returns also aided Reveres cause ln their victory Flhll score St Marvs 0 Revere 14 , .
