Glrtg Eng Monday January 31 1955 forty four Revere Hlgh School senlors took over the key organlzatlonal posltlons of the city as part of Student Government Day The hlghest honor was given to Anthony Scapxcchlo who took over the posltxon of Clty Manager The two cute secretarles found ln Manager Scaplcchlos office were Marllyn Blnda and Joan PICCUS The Mayors seat was filled by Joseph P0lld0l'0 Secretary to the Mayor was Lorrame Leone One of the first thmgs the Mayor did was to call an important meeting with sax councillors Richard Plke, Robert Matthews Edward Palladmo Ronald Paul John Santosuosso and James Vlghotte The purpose of thls meetmg was to dlscuss the councll agenda for the meetmg that nlght Just as the adult councllmen had done many tlmes these proposed three motlons all of whlch were mcorporated ln regular meetmg mmutes These motlons concerned the mauguratlon of an lce skatlng project by the Youth Commlsslon a proclamation of an annual Student Government Day and remedlal actlon to be taken concermng Clty Hall men s restroom S6l'VlDg as assessors were Chalrman Henry Francescom Robert Memory and George Caporale Mary Zlzza took over secretarial dutles Bulldlng Inspector Charles Cxrolo and Plumblng Inspector Rocco Malfitano went about their dutles while Jo Prestx Flre Inspector made good use of the Secretary Carrie Rossettx City Clerk Amerlco Moschella and Secretary Wanda Pavey discussed the late births and deaths whlle Janet Scott took dlctatlon for City Collector Kenneth Wheeler Earle Lllly headed the Election Office and Vlanne Cataldo was his secretary Charles Goldsteln headed the Englneermg Department while Robert Ross and John Mlchaels were the engineers, and Phyllis Carpenlto was the secretary The two chlefs Flre and Pohce were Michael Prochllo and Anthony Capoblanco Robert Katz was the Clty Planner and John Coppola headed the Department of Health The dutles of Welghts and Measures were handled very efficlently by Charles Burnlm Annette D1Mas1 was secretary to Purchasmg Agent Wllllam Reedy Bemard Wolfson with the assistance of secretary Nancy Eagen took over the Rent Control Board Murray Slmon was Clty Sollcltor and Barbara Burlm was his secretary Handllng the money was Rlchard DEramo, and counting bills was secretary Juhe Vlahl With the a1d of the school and city officials and senior class officers Student Government Day was a huge success o 1 1 1 ' 1 . . . . . , . . . , - 3 1 1 1 y 1 ' 1 I ' 1 1 .
