Once agam the Choral Club brought honor to themselves and our school by belng chosen to present a program for the March of Dimes Ban quet at the Hotel Somerset m Boston Another outstanding event of our Semor year was Clty Day when members of our class oc cupled all the officxal posltlons of the city Joseph Polldoro was elected to the honorable posltlon of Mayor of Revere and Anthony SCaplCChl0 ran the affalrs of our clty as Cnty Manager That mght we were all proud as our classmates undertook the task of promotmg a Cnty Councll meetmg Of course we never stopped hopmg for that one blg snowfall On February 2 lt appeared and the followlng day laden wlth sleds, skis skates cameras and of course lunches we were happlly on our way to Mount Hood We couldnt walt to get out on the lee and snow but xt was cold and we welcomed the time we took to eat our lunches and elect our sports kmg and queen The vote was unanimous for Donme Shannon and Carrle Rossettl The day came to an end too quickly but on the way honce there wasnt one tlred person who dxdnt wlsh we could do It all over agam All these events led to the hxghllght of our prom On February 11 though the mght was ralny we danced ln a haven of Moonllght and Roses for 1n our audltorxum the stars shone nn all their magnificence Gall Gallant and John Fxgllola were crowned Kmg and Queen as the mght came to an end and we departed for varlous Boston nlghtspots Wlthln a week after our blg mght e Dramatlc Club presented A Night of Comedy Thls was an especxally great accompllshment for the future of the club was ln the hands of the senlor members The results of thelr splrxted effort were sxgmlied by the tremendous hlt the show made By now we were ln the final chapter of our year We sadly began to count the days left Between college boards mtervxews and assembhes we were makmg plans for the future The sprung as always featured the Glee Club Concert Immedlately followmg the concert Mr Goss Choral Club began plans to defend thelr champxonshlp at the New England Festnval The day after the festlval was Revere Nxght at the Pops as once agam our Choral Club presented a Jolnt concert with the Pops Symphony Orchestra Our yearbooks, The Lantem bigger and better than ever thanks to MISS Strong and the staff, were dlstrlbuted and we were busy gettlng autographs of schoolmates and teachers allke Our hugh school days were commg to an end At the Junlor Senlor Receptlon on June lst we handed the relgns over to the Jumor class Throughout the mght we danced at our last formal Thus began our Semor Week On Monday we had our p1cn1c at Whalom Park Then came Class Day Awards were presented our hlstory was read our future foretold our class poem reclted and words of wlsdom xmparted to us Our Senior Roundup was our last class social To the tunes of old fam1l1a1 songs we danced and sald our good byes On the mornmg of June 9 m our blue and whlte caps and gowns we recelved our diplomas and w1th heavy hearts sang our Auld Lang Syne So abruptly It all ended' Gone were the golden days of our youth Sud denly we dldnt feel much llke lookmg ahead we wanted our hlgh school days back agam But be many stalrways to cllmb stones to unturn The days ahead will be new and once agam we wlll be freshmen yes freshmen ln the world of adulthood We who have recorded this hlstory hope lt will help the members of our class to remember the thmgs we dld these four happy year and whatever the future may brlng may these pages hold the sw eet remlnlscences of om youth and the good old days of R H S Joan Pxccus EdNVdlll Palladlno Cllss Historians ' ll If ' 1 ' 1 u ' rx - ' - ' ' n , . 'he Senior lgrnmrnahr Friday February 11 1955 the event had finally arrived that all semors had been looking forward to the semor prom As the doors opened there lay for all eyes to behold falryland filled with the enchantment of South Pacific Islands topped with the theme of the prom Moonlight and Roses ' The committee had been at work for weeks to make this prom the best one at Revere Hlgh School for years Greatly a1d1ng in the work of the prom were Patricia Marino and Anthony Scaplcchio co chairmen Heading the chaperone ticket program refreshment, orchestra and decorating committees were Marilyn Blnda Alfred Alex ander James Vllll0ttl, Annette DeMas1 Diana Ventresca and Joan DeRosa Under these competent directors were Eda Martino, Marie Dlglio Tom Goodman Joseph Polldoro Juanita Miller Richard Pike Lorraine Leone Frances Augllera Joanne Gould Earle Lilly John Spinelli Kenneth Goodman John Blake Joanne Slgnore Mongiardo and Edward Palladmo These students worked energetically making roses palm trees boats and water for the decorations The invited guests who attended were Mayor and Mrs Edward R White Jr Mr Anthony Moschella Dr and Mrs Hartigan Mr and Mrs Augustine Whelan, Mr and Mrs Harry Fmklestem Mr and Mrs Ralph Martino, Mr and Mrs Laurence Vlarxno 'Miss Dorls Wyman Miss Edwma Strong and members of the Revere High School Faculty A contest was held to determine the Prom Kmg and Queen Gall Gallant was crowned queen to the dellght of the boys and John Flgllola was hailed as the king which was warmly received by the girls At approximately eleven oclock we were ln line for our grand march Led by Gerald Flnkelstein our president other class officers followed and we each followed in tum Pictures were taken for our yearbook then we all danced our last waltz together Our semor prom was over and there was nothing but the tender memories which we will always hold in our hearts As we departed we glanced at each other and caught a gllmpse of regret that all good things come to an end ' O I ! y . y . . . , ll ' .Y . . . , - . 0 . , . , , . . . .
