liwtnrg nf Ullman nf 195 There IS but one day remalnmg that w1ll com plete the fiftieth chapter in the story of Revere High School So on this Golden Anmversary of Commencement Days we, the class of 1955 like those before us will recall the many hours of events that made up our hlSt0I'y that have brought us up the StalI'Way leading to our dreams and ambitions of the future It all began that morning Septetmber 9 1951 We were freshmen the lowest of lowly crea tures IH the high school soclety But this dldnt bother us for we were far more engrossed ln this new world of people programs and perplexxty a complete state of confuslon Our ofhlcal business began swiftly and under the direction of Mr Warren Goss we proudly elected our first class officers They were President Joseph Chlota Vice President Eda Maltlno, Secretary Marsha McG1lvery and Tleasurer Alfred Alexander After Christmas vacation we chose our cl iss pm Before long spring was upon us On June 13 laden wlth lunches, we plled lnto buses and were off to Canobxe Lake for one blg day of swlmming eat mg and more fun than we could have xmaglned That following week the day of June 19 found us assembled at the Revere City Hall where we received our dlplomas and officially became members of Senlor High School After graduation we began our summer sacation with an optlmistlc outlook for the future year In our sophomore year our class became com plete with addltional members comlng from the Garfield and Paul Rexere Schools lt didnt take long for all of us to become acquainted and We soon felt as though we were together from the beglnnlng Once agaln class buslness was at hand mainly electing our class officers With Mr 'llmothy Colllrs as Class Advisor we finally chose Edward Palladlno for President dent Marllyn Bmda was our Secretary and Joan Plccus our Treasurer They together with the Sophomore Councll set out to choose our class motto colors and flower It was decided that Faith and Labor Conquer All would be our worded guide through the years to come Our colors were maroon and gold and our flower the Amencan Beauty Rose This was the year that we started to p31'tlCl pate in the many act1v1t1es offered to us W realized that our school would be what we make It and thus began our social llves Some of us Jomed music dramatic and language clubs Those athletlcally mmded began to don the good old Blue and Whlte ln the name of R H S Once agaln the fall and wlnter changed into sprmg and we sponsored our first event '1 skating party Thls year we decided Whalom Park would be our picnic destination So that hist warm day ln June we were off again only this time we had more kids, bigger lunches and double the fun of last year . 7 Y I A 1 rl , 1 . y .
