To Dwell in the Highest Heavens is the meaning of the name Empyrean. The lavender sweaters, class song and motto were all presented at the Recog- nition Day Assembly, this event exemplified true class organization, and marked the privilege of using the senior lawn. Throughout the senior year Empyreans were engaged in a variety of activi- ties. They bowed out to the Seigneons in the first field day, and a jaunt to the Pacific Ocean Park and a snow trip highlighted the off-campus events. Bali H'ai was the theme of the prom honoring graduating Seigneons, and it was acclaimed a huge success. The senior A semester commenced with a tie in field day, sponsorship of May Queens Coronation Ball, Semi-Annual Senior Breakfast, and preparation for graduation. Speeches were to be written, announcements to be purchased, and the prom to attend, Empyreans graduated in splendor and terminated their high school careers with the traditional all-night party held at the Bev- erly Hilton.
