FRESHMEN Our first year of nursing education with its English, physical education, sociology, psychology, anatomy and microbiology, at times seems far from the duties of a nurse. However, the shadow our first year casts reaches far into the coming two years of edu- cation to light our way. It gives us the basic understanding of the anatomy and physiology of the human body, even if the body we study isn't human and rather furry. As these Freshmen class officers stand here, their shadows reflect off the ice in the same way the basic courses taken at the University of Mis- souri will reflect on their future studies in nursing. So inevitably our Freshmen experiences will have their shadows to cast into the future. ,l wi. if W
