BOARD OF FDUC ATION The Board of Fduc tion is composed of s1x members who are shown at the right earl Neece, app d secy , Haskell Waldo, treas ,Delvin Hunter Dexter Schluntz,Marie Lutje harms, pres ,Otto Goedeken, and pTlC8 B1shopfnot shown! The members are elected for 3 year terms, with two being elected each year In regu lar meetings they transact a great deal of business, such as looking after bus trans portation, building and gr ounds, the hiring of teach ers and personnel, etc THE BUS DRIVERS Our two bus dr1vers were -....,,--r .B ,'ff Wk nga! Norman Gibbs who drove the big bus and Clarence Page as dr1ver of the small bus Mr Gibbs has driven the bus for 3 years and Mr Page for 5 Mr Gibbs had the North Run, and Engineers' Hill, and Mr Page had the South and West Runs, and the kindergartenat noon They usually left t 7 30 a m to begin their bus runs, getting the youngsters to school by the time for an 8 30 bell Both drlvers the THE C Th1s was Mr Nelson's be ginn1ng year as custodian R h1s main job seemed to b filllng balls for the grade children He was kept busy cleaning mops,burning trash repairing equ1pment,he1ping the cook,improving his sup pl1es,as well as clean1ng A dUSt1Hg the rooms He could be found on the Job from a bout 7 OOa m to 6 OO p m , and much of the week end In summer he cared for the b1g lawns Every other month h took Band ch1ldren to Napo nee on Thursdays children l1ked very well Mrs Juanlta heifsteck was our cook th1s year, her first year w1th us She pleased us well, as one of our favorite menus would show ham, masned potataes,green beans,Jello, A cherry cobbler, plus m1lk She about 1100 meals per about 55 daily average and was nelped by Nancy Sey bold and Marilyn Goedeken 4 EZ 1 . .a . .' 5 gr ' : x T T A yymn 1 ,ff Q .
