CLASS HISTORY One bright crisp September morning, twelve years ago, in the fall of 1960, twenty anxious little boys and girls entered first grade with assistant teacher, Mrs. Charles, and Mrs. Rahe ready for us with her quick thumb-thumping. We were Johnny Meyers, Jan Levon- dofsky, Rita Levondofsky, Kimberley Boylan, Kayleen Peters, Sandra Taylor, Craig Elliott, Thomas Hofts, Bruce Larkins, Allen Hurley, Albert Taylor, Jr., Patricia McEwen, Warren Fuller, Beth Sheridan, Kean Dunback, Donald Fischer, Victor Burge, Debra Moel- ler, Leslie Ann Johnson, and Twila Hesting. Twila left after the first six weeks and then Audrey Marlow joined our class in February of 1961. Mrs. Rahe and Mrs. Tallent were our second grade teachers. We lost five of the beginning twenty; Beth Sheridan, Sandra and Albert Taylor, Kayleen Peters, and Johnny Meyers. Mrs. Tallent was well prepared to receive fifteen pupils into the third grade. We gained one girl, Sheri Seachord. The rest of the class remained the same. When fourth grade came, we gained Duane Gritten, Christine Joyal, and Leon Hobson. We lost Jan and Rita Levondofsky, and Bruce Larkins. Mrs. Tallent was our fourth grade teacher. Mrs. Beck was well aware of our oneriness in the fifth grade. We lost Pat McEwen, Sheri Seachord, Duane Gritten, and Christine Joyal. We were now down to ten members. In the sixth grade, Mrs. Novak taught us. We lost Kim Boylan and the rest of the class remained the same. Mrs. Beck couldn't get along without us, so she was again our seventh grade teacher. We lost Warren Fuller and gained Danny Fuller and later on, Lewis Wolford. Lewis Wolford left before the year was over. Due to Mrs. Beck's accident, Mrs. Beyer was our sub- stitute teacher during this time. Mrs. Dolezal was our teacher in the eighth grade. She tried her best to prepare us for high school. We gained one girl, Sonya Seybold, from Washington Central. In the fall of 1968, ten green freshmen entered high school life. The seniors tried to initiate us, but it wasn't too sucessful. Danny Fuller departed from us our sophomore year. Our class dripped to nine members. Our junior year, we remained the same. It was a busy year, with our class play, banquet, and prom, which were all very successful. Our senior year finally arrived. One more boy, Mark Simmonds, joined our class the second six weeks, but left after the first semester. Of the nine seniors, seven of us started out together; they are Vic Burge, Kean Dunback, Craig Elliott, Tom Hofts, Allen Hur- ley, Leslie Ann Johnson, and Debra Moeller. CLASS PROPHESY It is now the year 1992. The senior class of 1972 is being given a special party in their honor. Looking ahead we see this: Kean Dunback is the owner of one of the largest cycle shops in the U.S. He has just retired from the AMA racing circuit as four times national champion, and twice world champion. Leon Hobson is now the head of the Department of Agriculture in Washington D.C., and in his spare time he finds enjoyment in racing his NASCAR racer. Tom Hofts is now president of Playboy Enterprises Inc. and now lives in his ninety-seven room mansion in Chicago. In his spare time he raises bunny rabbits. Vic Burge could not be with us since he has been lost for last three years, upon failing to return from one of his hunting expeditions in Canada. CLASS OFFICERS Allen Hurley, having just bought the State of Kan- sas to add onto his cattle ranch, spends his spare time figuring new ways to cheat the Internal Revenue Service. Craig Elliott is still cruising around the little towns looking for women and a party. Leslie Ann Johnson now has seventy-two piano stu- dents and in her spare time, is a part-time secretary at Edgington's Music Company. At last we have Debra Moeller and Sonya Seybold running the lemonade stand with the Ringling Brothers Circus. In their spare time, they operate the local Pizza Hut in Nirobi, Africa. BOTTOM ROW: Tom Hofts, Student Council; Mr. Palmer, Sponsor; Leon Hobson, Secretary; Craig Elliott, Presi- dent; Allen Hurley, Treasurer; Vic Burge, Vice-President. 13
