The following officers were elected: Iresident, lucilo Dishopg Secretary-Treasurer, Geraldine Hol- merg Reporter, Joyce Lretsingerf ' This year the Qlee club has been busy, having taken an active part in the school hnsieal prodrais, and in the county festivals. On November 7, the Nroup presented the all-Jirl operetta,UBeauty Contost.H All worked hard to make this a big success. The annual county Choral Festival was hold at Ielmore on December 5rd.The following girls represented Republic at this festival: Dorothy Zapp, Donna Snavely, Horne Roope, Catherine Meiger, Joyce Denier, Zoe HodQes, Iary Eraley,hosalee Cooley, Dorothy Bare, Vie Ann Straub, Lucile Bishop, Iary Hoope, Emma Lake,har5aret InH,Freda Kenner, and Joyce Kretsinger,i girl's ensemble presented a special nunber,HLift Thine Eyesu by Men- delssohn. ' The girls' glee club presented numbers for the Christmas program and also for the Farmers' Institute. 4 sextette composed of Doris Hesse, Norma Roope, Vie Ann Straub, Imma Lake, Loe Hodges, and Catherine beiker sang a number of times during the year, The annual County Vocal and Instrumental Solo-Ensemble Festival was held at Hopewell-Loudon .,'.
