That initiation! What a time! The boys were the cooks and the girls were everything from photographers td ditch dig- gers. The class then was tortured in the evening. They made us do everything from washing others feet to peeling potatoes. Q, Early in September we elected the following officers: President Raymond Bogner Vice President Donald Shawberry Secretary Marian Cooley Treasurer Donald Grahwn Reporters Barbara Hensinger Joan Snay It was decided that we should pay 50 cents dues in in- stallments of 5 cents every six weeks. A pot luck Halloween Party was held at the home of Joan Snay, north of town. About two-thirds of the class were pres- ent at the party. There were a lot of interesting and amusing games and we all had a fine time. Another pot luck party was held at the home of Raymond Bogner just a few days before Christmas. The party was attended by more members of the class this time. We all had a lot of fun at this party. Most of the boys went out for Mixed Chorus. Burton and Berlin Zellner competed in the vocal contest. Burton went to the county vocal contest. Raymond Bogner, Donald Shawberry, and Donald Graham made the reserve basketball team. Sammy Neifer was manager of the high school basketball squad. We were all sorry that Mary Updike had to leave us after a long illness.She will always be remembered by her classmates We had a party at Velma Hall's. It was a pot-luck party. About two-thirds of the class were present. Miss Erwin, the advisor, was present. be had a lot of fun. A-.. Donald Graham, Donald Shawberry, Beiiin and Burton Zel- lner were on the 1942 track team. Those that represented the freshman class at Old Fort in scholarship tests are as follows: Raymond Bogner and Loretta Ardner in Algebra I5 Floyd Trachsel and Betty Hall in English I3 Velma Hall and Helen Brown in General Science. Donna Jean Snavely, Dorothy Kapp, Mary Braley, and Donna Metzger are in the Mixed Chorus. There were many of the girls in the Girls' Glee Club, also. ' Hr. Harold Fee and Miss Esther Erwin were our advisors.
