On September ld, before we left school-we received the startling orders from the dig- nified seniors. The long awaited for day had arrived. The next day was initiation day. The day arrived bright and sunny. All over the school grounds ungraciously decorated freshmen could fbe yfspotted. The girls wearing apparel consisted of knee-len5th overalls, long-sleeved -work shirts, bathing caps, long stockings and one shoe. 'Ke carried a candle and a box of matches. The boys wore a woman's dress, apron and sunhonnetg and were de- corously covered with powder and paint. Now that initiation day was over we really had to get down to work. Our advisers were Hr.Swihart and Miss Erwin, Ee elected the following officers: ' President Donna Luce Vice President Arthur Hall Secretary Doris Kramer Treasurer Doris nraner Reporter Rosalee Cooley We chose pink and green as our class colors throu5hout our high school years.
