A concert band of 14.5 members enjoyed playing together under the direc- tion of Hr. W. K. Baessler and emerged with a division I rating from the state contest. The nrching band performed at the home football games and lorth Iowa Band Festival, stepping off to snappy marches and novelty num- bers led by the drum najorette, Dorothy Harris. At the basketball gales the quarters and half-times were llvened by the marches the pep band offered. Several small ensembles were an outgrowth of this outstanding organization, they also made a fine showing at the contests. The hand and various smll ensenbles played at the Christmas program, a mid-winter concert, a joint concert with Vernon, and a pre-contest concert. Vocal music had a mixed chorus, girls glee club, and boys glee club as its nucleus, with a girls trio and sextet as branches. The particlpantes in these organisations enjoyed working with Hrs. Whitney and gave a Christ- Xl concert, spring concert, and a pre-contest concert. Pig! IPOIIIOPOC by PORT DQWE-TOBII BUSINESS COLLEGE, Fort Dodge, Iowa
