Last fall the Senior Class of RHS presented the play “Annie Get Your Gun” by Herbert and Dorothy Fields. Mrs. Linda Anderson directed this overwhelmingly successful play. The play told of the trials and tribulations suffered by Annie Oakley, Frank Butler, Charlie Davenport and Dolly Tate. In the opening scene, a shootin’ match takes place between Annie and Frank Annie wins the match but not Frank’s love for her. Throughout the play, there are several love matches, a near scalping, a boat ride, and a lawn party. The play ends with Annie losing a re- scheduled shootin’ match against Frank Butler. Junior Class Presents Our Girls After many practices the junior class put on a fine performance of “Our Girls.” Having the star roles were Donna Haug as Mildred, Bill Zaske as Elmer, the three girls, Tim Berger, Kevin Prodoehl, and Kevin Mulder with Ruth Reetz as Aunt Jessie. Miss Martinson directed the play. The story took place in the 1940 s when a queer English aunt visits the United States to give one of the “girls” five thousand dollars. She wouldn’t give the money to boys therefore the boys had to dress ud to become “our eirls, ” TOP CENTER: Aunt Jessie meets Vivian and Jesse for the first time while their mother looks on.
