Annual Student Council The annual staff has ambitiously taken on the project of a complete change in style of format in the annual this year. The inclusion of more juniors and sophomores promises more experience for the annual in years to come. With these two elements the year book will sustain its highest quality this year and in the future. This am- bitious staff is lead by Patty Schemel and Cathie Wahl; co-editors in chief, Debbie Bach and Pam Standfuss, junior editors; and John Strootman, business manager. Supervising the homecoming festivities was the highlighted project of the Senior High Student Council Preparations were made for the coronation, Queen’s Tea, and Parade along with all the details of ordering flowers, cleaning the robe, and decorating the gym in the traditional red and white colors for the dance. Problems arose in connection with the student lounge, now in it’s second year. The council began viewing it’s delapitated furniture, broken jukebox, and unreliable candy machine with dread. With the help of the treasury and a lot of work, the members somewhat improved these conditions. YFU committments were made, and the council sold tickets and promoted the last PTA Parent Appreciation Banquet. The final service done was sponsoring the school picnic, held at Sibley. President Tom Eekhoff presided over the monthly meetings. Rosemary Sietsema kept minutes; Dave Henneberry served as Treasurer; and Cathy Schmidt assumed the duties of Vice President. Principal Fust super- vised this council of four girls and eleven boys. SR. HIGH STUDENT COUNCIL-First Row: (left to right) D. Hen- neberry, P. Hauenschild, R. Sietsema, C. Schmidt, C. Agre, K.
