Renville Hosts Germany's Petra Hauenschild TOP LEFT: Petie leads a cheer at the girl’s Basketball game. TOP RIGHT: Petie talks on the phone. BOT- TOM RIGHT: Petie and Cathie do dishes. Petra Hauenschild came to Renville on August 19. She lived with the Frank Wahl family. Cathie and Ellen have been good sisters to Petra. They got along like regular sisters. At first, she thought our small town would be hard to live in because of its size, but when she got to know everyone in school and around town she liked it a lot. Petra was known to everyone as Petie. Her outgoing personality charmed her many friends. Petie was enjoyed by the seniors in her class and they tried to show her a good time. During the year Petie participated in girls’ basketball, the senior class play, one act play, band, chorus, girls’ glee, FTA, FHA, student council, and was secretary of the German Club. She attended the First Lutheran Church and was a member of the Renville Aces 4-H Club.
