Since 1951 Renville High School has been privileged to have Mr. Bendixas a teacher. In addition to teaching in the field of science, he has assisted in sports at the junior high level, has been summer athletic director, and has been the drivers' training instructor. In 1957 he attended the Summer Science Institute at the University of South Dakota, under a stipend from the National Science Foundation. This past summer he was selected as one of twenty traveling science teachers in a seven- state area to take three months of intensive training in science and mathematics at Michigan State University under the sponsorship of the National Science Foundation. Renville School granted him a year's leave of absence to participate in this program. We are very proud to have had this man as a teacher. We are equally proud to share him with the many students he now instructs. WE, THE CLASS OF ’60, respectfully dedicate our annual to Mr. Eugene Bendix.

Superintendent Roger Amundson carries out the administrative duties of Renville Public School The P.A. system is being put to use by Susan Zaske, Grade School Principal, and Burge Ham- mond, High School Principal. BOARD OF EDUCATION Members of the Board of Education are discussing future plans for our school. They are Cyrus Knutson, Clerk; Leo Derksen, Treasurer; Dean Watson, President; Harold Hoffman, Del Rhodes, Directors. Vincent Larkin, Director, was unable to attend this meeting. 4
