The EMG handle the thousands of miles of wiring aboard ship used to carry AC and DC power to every compartment, space, and piece of electrical equipment. They are also responsible for making the electricity and are constantly standing watches on the generator board and distribution switchboard when not using shore power. They handle anything electrical from large electric motors to tiny lightbulbs. The IC electricians maintain the interior communications of the shipg including the sound powered telephones, I MC, and the communications the bridge, offices, wardroom and other important spaces through- ship. Keeping an accurate course at sea is partly a function of between out the the IC gyro compass, as well as the repeaters on the ship, one of the m0St important tools of navigation. Theirs is a big job, with miles of wir6Sf and tons of equipment, so don't forget to pay your electric bill at the gang, as they must maintain in perfect working order the mam end of the month.
