These are familiar words to the hard-working Chieftain staff . Just what has to be done to publish each edition of the Chieftain? Page editors plan layouts of pages and make story assignments. As the stories are written they are sent out to the printer. When stories are returned from the printer they are checked for errors. Then the toilsome job of paste-ups begins. Where to put a picture, how to stretch a story - long into the day the staff works. When all is finished to the satisfaction of the editors and Mr. Schneider, adviser, the pages are re-read, errors corrected, and the paper is sent to the printers and put on the newsstands for you on the fol- lowing day.
