First, the development of computational skills and manipulative facility, and secondly, the development of insight into relationships which give mathematics its struc- ture and patterns. The curriculum of secondary mathemat- ics includes: algebra, and general math, geometry, inter- mediate algcbra, trig, and math analysis.
