ADMI class. long time. ties for the school year 1962-63. OLIVER M. HAZEN Superintendent of Schools I TRATIO KEPT BUSY In the past year Renton School District has seen a number of changes in the admin- istration of its seventeen growing schools. One of these is the advent of the IBM computing system in scheduling and reporting grades for approximately 10,200 stu- dents currently enrolled in the fourteen elementary schools, two junior high schools and the high school. Since Mr. Oliver M. Hazen, Superintendent of Schools, took charge in 1936, the district has become one of the largest and most stable districts in the state. Working with Board Members Messrs. Gil Duckworth, Clarence Bunstine, Elmer Pistoresi, Robert Hendrickson, and Mrs. Myrtle Clymer, Mr. Hazen looks forward to even greater advances in Renton's school development. MR. KARL 1. WEBER Principal Mrs. Warren HKEEP SIGHT OF THE POSITIVE ATTITUDE Congratulations to the Class of 1963 upon completion of twelve successful years of education. Success in todays life depends largely upon attitudes. Too often we are inclined to express what we are against without giving thought to what we are, and what we are for. It is our hope that somewhere in the years of education just completed you have had the opportunity and desire to establish your future goals and to determine what you stand for in life. Once you have established where you stand keep sight of the positive attitude which allows for the cooperative solution to many of lifels problems. KQYZA4' If SECRETARIES HALT CONFUSION Two women serve as vital links between chaos and calm in the Main Ofliee. 'They are the secretaries of our principals, Mrs. Wlar- ren and Mrs. Massuco. Their efficient management keeps things running as smoothly as a Swiss clock. Mrs. lVarren has been a staff member since 1940. She serves as registrar, and has charge of all records. Mrs. Massuco works closely with Mr. Talmage on SBA funds and extracurricular activities. Both of these able women deserve many thanks from the myriads they serve each day. Congratulations on a job well done! EXPERIENCES ENHANCE UNDERSTANDINGSH It is with pleasure that recognition is given for the publication of this splendid yearbook. Students, faculty and friends of the school are indebted to the annual staff and their adviser for this impressive book of memories. The fond remembranees relived through pictures will bring recollections, pleasant and otherwise, of the days spent at Renton High. These many experiences have served to improve talent, develop attitudes, broaden vi- sions and enhance understandings. May you profit from these school days and carry into your adult life the energy and precepts you exerted while a member of the student body. Mrs. Massuco MR. CHARLES TALMACE Vice-Principal
