Left; Angie Mangas, president This year, under the new sponsorship of Mrs. Swartzell and Mrs. Cappuccilli, the Sunshine girls became more involved in the society at a district and state level. In the fall the officers and sponsors attended the President ' s Luncheon held in Indianapolis. The luncheon is designed to give the girls a chance to compare new ideas with other societies. Representatives from the society were also sent to the district convention held at Kankakee Valley High School, and the state convention held at Tri- County High School. The year was also highlighted by the annual activities including; Freshman Initation, Daddy Date Night, Mother ' s Tea, Ideal Lady Night, Officer ' s Initation, and the final yearly event, the Senior Party. 23
