Director Kraler fDavid Carterj, who is in Contact with the outside world for the Frank's, brings news to Mr. Frank QTom Fischery. The Frank's were jews in Germany during the War and were forced in- to hiding, together with the Van Dean's and Mr. Dussel. Anne, 14- year old daughter of the Frank's, kept a diary, containing many pro- found statements about life and people. After the War the only survivor, Mr. Frank, returned to the hide- out and found that although the Nazis had taken everything of val- ue, they had overlooked Anne's diary. This Was published as a book and later as a play and as a movie. Mr. and Mrs. Van Daan fGeorge and Candy Longj are fighting over Mrs. Daan's fur coat which he wants to sell so he can buy cig- arettes.
