As 420 students enter into the realm of activity, they are introduced to education, books, teachers, classes, and the extra-curricular activities found within the walls of Rensselaer High School. From laughter and approval come lasting circles of friendships, new experiences, and an outlook on the future. Here, prospects of the future are backed by the building of our vast storehouse of knowledge, efforts secured only by our determination to tackle our lessons and assignments. This test of acquisi- tion may be both painful and rewarding, however, our tire ess efforts are repaid by the pleasure of planning and enjoying the seasonal sports and pro- grams. Whether participating on the teams, practicing for the perfection of a musical performance, planning club meetings and projects, or sponsoring occasional dances, we are constantly developing our interests and skills. As the awareness of high school life and a sense of belonging to it is broadened, our scope of comprehension of the present and of the future is a challenge to us,the students of R.l'l.S. For each of us, there are those leisure moments for com- panionship and participation in extra-curricular activities and those thought-provoking lessons that train us to reason. These give us the o portunity to en- rich our mini, tordevelop a well-rounded personality, and to prepare ourselves for a con- structive life.
