Anticipation And Excitemen Band Leads Student Body in Homecoming Parade The Queen is Crowned! fl 114.1 When the big day came, the team, the band, con- vertibles bearing the queen and her attendants, and the student body partici- pated in an afternoon parade through the business district as a symbol of their enthusi- asm in backing the Bombers in the RHS-West Lafayette game. QR Surrounded by her attendants, senior Fran Kresler was crowned Queen of Homecoming, 1957 by the senior class president, John Layden. The band, under the direc- tion of Drum Major Carilyn Hadley, played a musical tribute to the queen by serenading her with Oh, You Beautiful Doll.
