SCIENCE INI) SEEDS Our major project this year as in the past years was taking charge of the Jasper County Corn Show held in the fall. One of our members. Bill Stevens, presided over this annual affair. We sent two teams, parliamentary procedure and grain judging, to the District Convention at Medaryville. FIX ITS Once a month we gather under Mr. Harrison ' s guidance to study one phase of industrial arts via the medium of the motion picture. Throughout the school year we work on a project in class. At the annual Art Exhibit in the spring our masterpieces are then displayed before the wondering eyes of the public. 25

PREPARING FOR LIFE When we are not busy cooking tantalizing meals, we engage in a number of activ- ities. We opened the school year by playing hostesses to the FFA in our annual party for them. During National FHA Week, we served cookies and orange juice before school one morning. At Christmas time we decorated the huge tree which graced the main hall during the holiday season. In February we turned ou r minds toward help- ing others as we conducted the Heart Drive in Rensselaer. At Easter we presented our annual religious convocation in the Christian Church. This year we were es- pecially proud of our two district officers, Judy Pettet, District Song Leader, and Pat Moore, District Historian.
