THEY MADE THE FUN All the careful planning of the Student Council members took on new significance as four ministers led us in group games. Maybe we ' ll forget what games we played and the refreshments we ate, but not one of us will forget the fun we had. We owe our thanks to Mr. Beaman, to the council members, and to Rev. Ward, Presbyte- rian Church; Rev. Fitch, Christian Church; Rev. Fleetwood, Nazarene Church; and Rev. Bosse, Methodist Church. MINISTERS AWARD PRIZES Robert Ward, Joe Fitch, C. T. Fleet- wood, Carl Bosse SHOELESS STUDENTS SLIDE ' N SMILE The night of the ALL SCHOOL PARTY turned out to be a socking success as everyone joined in the fun. Even the seniors took off their shoes and placed them right beside those of the freshmen. Can you imagine a junior rolling a potato across the floor? Or a sophomore boy asking a senior girl to dance? This was just a small part of the fun that lasted all evening and the beginning of the friendly spirit that lasted all year between the classes. GRAB A SHOE--FIND YOUR PARTNER DIG THOSE CRAZY KIDS! We ' ll remember our 1953 Homecoming! It was a big day for everyone. Friday afternoon we formed a parade of the band, floats, the queen and her attendants and a lot of enthusiastic students. We marched downtown to the courthouse square to cheer our football men to victory. And then came the game ! The floats circled the football field and it wasn ' t long before everyone could spot the smiling Speech Club members. With their chef hats and big kettle, they cooked those Devils and won first prize. EVERYBODY EOVES A PARADE 6
