The National Honor Society honor students of Rensselaer main- tain scholarship in keeping with our tradition, but they also strive for the development of character, service, and leadership— the four traits for which the National Honor Society is noted. During a convocation program an initiation ceremony was con- ducted by Jane Paulus, Phyllis Reed, and Harold Toben, members of the class of 1948, elected to membership as juniors. Pins which were purchased by the Rensselaer Rotary Club were awarded to the newly-elected members listed below.
