Rt SStlAtHIt Hello sis, I thought l'd drop you a line to tell you about our camp's newspaper. lt is my job to edit all the copy, delete all classified military intelligence, and take out all the nasty cracks about the first sergeants. I have to write head- lines for all the stories and place them wherever there is space. Then I have to draw everything up into a pretty attractive page. Boy I'rn telling you it is tedious and nerve-racking work, but I prefer it to K. P. duty. I have some grand assistants by the name of Felder, Reeve, lacks, Roy, Kurtz, D. Nuss, Iones, Brooks, Murray, and Miss Norris. l'll send you a copy sometime. Love, Iohnny CHAHS Dear dad, Being a publisher I thought you might like to hear about the yearbook our company is putting out. It is issued every nine months and that means a new set making it up each time. lt's chuck full of snaps of everyone in the platoon doing every kind of work, even K. P., and has stories and even cz day-by-day calendar in it. They have me doing the dirty work of typing the jokes, stories, etc, that go in it. There are 'fdur companies that help to put it out. A hostess, Miss Kresler, comes over from the canteen and does the assembling job, among other things. There are quite a tew cn the start. Each one's job usually corresponds with what he did in civilian lite. The staff is Hoshaw, Boyle, Nesbitt, D. Nuss, Hershman, Roy, Hoover, and Kurtz. Gotta go to chow, be sure to write. , Love, Willoughby

S. is doing its bit. Marching down the road to victory under the direction oi Mr. Shadley, our hand has had a very successful year. Many of our soldiers participated in the Bond Rally Program, Qur Awards Program, Spring Festival, lniantile Paralysis Fund Program and Commencement. For the first time in history, our director is awarding merit badges to pri! vates and Corporals who have progressed the most. At the tune of a heart-stirring march my mind wanders home to you and dad listening to your radio. l hope l can join you soon. Your loving son, Phil.
