MR RAY EDWARD ESTHER HUGH MISS ELIZABETH BUNDY ROBINSON SWARTZELL DAVISSON KRESLER Sponsor President Treasurer Vice-President Sponsor Junior Class “Of the past the old man’s thoughts were, And the children of the future.” In the fall of 1934 the freshman class under the leadership of our sponsors, Miss Kresler and Mr. Bundy, elected Frank Hoover, president; Martha Halstead and Wayne Comer as vice-president and treasurer. The class numbered only sixty-four. After we had become acclimated to our new surroundings we began the business of proving our worth. Many of the members acquired positions in the various extra-curricular fields of endeavor. The next year we, as haughty sophom ores weer allowed to take our places with the upper classmen in the large study hall. This year Wayne Comer, as president, assisted by Daniel Waymire and Frank Hoover guided our class activities. The latter two were strong contenders for places on the basketball team. Bethel Bishop and Floyd Stath re- ceived the Tri Kappa award for the highest scholastic records. Now the wheel of time has revolved once again and we find ourselves as dignified juniors. At the regular fall class meeting we elected Edward Robinson, president, with Hugh Davisson and Esther Swartzell as his colleagues. Neal Michael and Edith Birdsall played leading roles in our class play, “Kempy,” which was successfully directed by Miss Dye. They were admirably supported by Ruth Kanney, Glen Kingman, Sarah Jane Hoyes, Marie Rowen, Dean Porter and Bob Conley. The class officers aided by every member of the class enthusiastically directed the Junior Prom. Page Twenty-Four
