The National Honor Society, which was established in Rensselaer High School in 1924, emphasizes scholarship, and with it those other qualities that go to make up splendid citizens in the school and in the community. This organization is intended to stimulate scholarship in the high schools, much the same in purpose as Phi Beta Kappa in colleges and universities. The students are chosen upon the following merits, in addition to! that of scholarship: leadership, service, and character. The following students were elected to membership from the class of 1928: Ernest Graham, Betty Miller, Margaret Wild, Mary Alice Warren, Sarah Hunt, and Esther Arnott. lt matters not bow long you live, but bow well.
