3141 ' Senior Class Histor eager and determined Freshmen, realize we would be making the welcoming doors of Renick High School one sunny day in August so engrossed in the activities of our first big day. Could it be true, we students? Our class sponsor, Mr. Randolph, was there to assist us in choosing class officers. Our class consisted of Ronnie Brandow - President, Vice President, Andrea McCardle - Secretary and Treasurer and Donnie Bailey, ,-Ierome Brooks, Ierry Cockrell, Iohn Colley, Beatrice Dobyns, Iohn Ehrhardt, Raymond Hargis, Robert Iessee, Patsy Lewis, Bill Pearson, Ronald Powell, , Sharon Truesdell, Barbara Whitmarsh, Ianet Winn, Iudy Everhart, Geraldine and Wanda Ridgeway. Of course, we faced the hard task of learning. Never shall the big events of that year. The Initiation Party, the Halloween Party, the Christ- or the exciting Carnival where Pat Lewis represented our class in the queen August, 1956, 18 class members returned to become Sophomores. Ierome,Brooks, Ierry Cockrell, Beatrice Dobyns, Geraldine and Wanda Ridgeway had left us to seek knowledge elsewhere. Our new class leaders were Ierry Bloss - President, Ronnie Brandow - Vice President, Pat Lewis - Secretary, and Bill Pearson - Treasurer. Shirley Graham came from Iowa to try her luck at Renick. Our highlight of the Sophomore year was when we took our trip to St. Louis to view the Ice Capades. Mrs. Overfelt, our class sponsor, enjoyed the trip with us. Some other highlights of the year were the New Year's Eve Dance, our first Home- coming where Julia Bradley represented our class as candidate for queen and the Fall Festi- val where our class candidate, Ianet Winn was crowned queen. After a lazy summer vacation, 17 Iuniors returned to carry out their third year of high school. Bob Iesse transferred to Sturgeon. Shirley Graham decided to return to Iowa after the first week of school, Again, Ronnie Brandow was elected President with Raymond Hargis as Vice President. Ianet Winn as Secretary, Andrea McCardle as Treasurer. Carolyn Buntin and Ronnie Brooks came trooping in from Iowa to share school days with us. We were getting close to being Seniors so we felt pretty big. Several big events occured in our Iunior year. Our class representative Andy McCardle was crowned queen of the Homecoming. Pat Lewis was elected to enter the carnival queen contest. We all had a grand time taking part in our first Senior Banquet and Prom. Mrs. Cottingham, our class sponsor, helped us work hard to earn money for a Senior trip. V If August, 1958, brought back 16 Seniors to complete their joyous four years of high school. Ronnie Powell had left for Columbia, and Barbara Whitmarsh left our great world of knowledge to explore other fields. Pat Lewis was chosen as President, Andrea McCardle as Vice President, Ianet Winn as Secretary, and Iudy Everhart as Treasurer. Bobby Shoaf came in the middle of the year to raise our roll to 17 . Of course, we are looking forward to graduation, our Senior trip the Senior Banquet and Prom and our Senior play. We shall cherish many fond memories of our life here in the old halls, and the fine new rooms of our beloved school. The curtain is going down on the history of the class of 1959, but but in reality the big parade is just commencing. The bugle calls forward march!

Bill Pearson, will my slightly used '49 Plymouth to Roger Downing. Donnie Bailey, will my way with women to Ronnie Woods. Iohn Ehrhardt, will my basketball ability to Iesse Vestal.
