A Colorful Year . . . These fifth grade students are listening attentively to their teacher, Mrs. Owen. The grade students as well as the high school help make Renan what it is today. A year in which the surroundings of Renan lending a colorful touch to the lives of those to whom it became a sec¬ ond home. The big events of the year— Homecoming, Senior Dance, Beta Sweetheart Ball, FHA-FFA Banquet and Prom, Junior Senior Prom—all helped to make this a more enjoyable year at our school. Dancing to the music of the After¬ beats, the Juniors, Seniors, and their dates are having a wonderful time. Fight, team, Fight! Our cheerleaders have added a new spark and color by their new yells and new red uniforms.

In spite of her full schedule, however, Mrs. Booker is never too busy to listen to a problem or offer thoughtful counseling. H$r sincere interest in each individual, and her loyalty and devotion to Renan High have won for her the respect and admiration of the student body. 7

An Eventful Year . . . Do you solemnly swear to tell the truth? This was the question often asked during the government classes’ mock trial. A moment long awaited for has finally arrived. These students have earned the honor of being invited to join the Beta Club. It has been a very eventful year for the first graders as they have been intro¬ duced to a whole new world through reading, printing, and numbers. It was an eventful year ... a year of activity and a year of learning . . . The gathering of friendly groups to talk over their problems . . . The basketball games we won and lost . . . Other ath¬ letic events to add interest . . . Those all-important exams . . . The Sweet¬ heart Dance, The Junior-Senior Prom, all with their touches of romance and splendor . . . These have combined to make this a most eventful year.
