THE 1959 RAMBLER STAFF Weeks and months of toil and fun have gone into the publication of the 1959 Rambler. It has been our purpose to record the events of the year 1958-59. The staff worked diligently at taking and identifying pictures; writing copies, headings; selling and advertising and typing write-ups, to meet their deadlines. Each member had his task to perform, but the directing forces of the duties were Editor in chief-Nancy Jacobs, Associate Editor-Mack Doss, and Business Manager-Barbara Jacobs. Under the direction of the adviser Mrs. Kathryn Hutcherson is the preparation of our 1959 yearbook. The heads of the Rambler Staff get together to discuss plans for the book. Mrs. Kathryn Hutcherson, ad¬ viser; Nancy Jacobs, editor; Barbara Jacobs, business manager; and Mack Doss, associate editor. Here planning are the following; Gerald Edwards, Class editor; Faye Stone, Secretary; Eunice Jacobs, typist, Ruby Hogan, Feature editor; Gracie Johnson, Linda Moon, Sports editor; Gloria Hutcherson, Charles Ed¬ wards, Assistant Class editor; Emily Atkinson. RENAN HIGH SCHOOL Gretna, Virginia, volume 6 3 WO RD S fc f a A FOREWORD The 1959 edition of n The Rambler” has been published with one purpose--to capture a year between its covers. Although our life at Renan High School consists of many things too intangible to portray, there are many events--some bright and some not so bright--some sunshine and some shadows--this we should like to record. We attempt to give you the happenings in class and activities during the year. THE RAMBLER STAFF Reading, writing, and arithmetic is the basic foundations of these first graders. Left to right: Wayne Elliott, Dana Singleton, Ann Worsham, Gayre Kelly, Belinda Johnson, Diana Cothran, Patricia Wyatt, Everett Moorefield, John Cardwell. PICTURES In the closing weeks of the 1958-59 basketball season the ’’Ramblers were headed for the County Tournament games. Peggy Elliott is seen demonstrating excellent ball-playing throughout the season. •1L i Hm i ip 5 , m : - di wM B® ' : 1 ■ a ’ gBlisMg ; |i | . 9H MKBw ■ R.H.S.!
