Y I lfxecufiviz Gffimzr LCDR Laurence R. Chute, United States Navy, was born 25 August 1918, in Everett, Mass. He enlisted in the navy in February 1937, graduated from Navy Flight Training, Pensacola, Florida, in 1940 as an Aviation Pilot. ln 1943 LCDR Chute was commissioned LTJG and after ten years as an aircraft car- rier pilot, was re-designated as a general line officer. He served as a member of ComDes- Ron 12 Staff for nine months before becoming Executive Officer of REMEY in January 1953. LCDR Chute is married to the former Doris C. Robinson of Corpus Christi, Texas, and has two children: a daughter, Darlene, five, and a son, Donald, three. ---'ug hilis' Qffivcra
