Although occasionally impractical, sometimes unpredictable, they are perpetually unfailing. Their job is to teach, their pleasure is to see students learn. Teachers are as human as all other beings. They eat the same foods, wear the same clothing and breathe the same air. Only their great service to young mankind sets them apart from others. Teachers are the main cog in the never ending cycle of learning. They compose the human chain used to connect knowledge of ages past to the minds of today's generation. Constantly learning, them- selves, they are trained to pass it on to others, While it is the duty of some to construct buildings, manufacture automobiles or assemble refrigerators, it is the duty and privilege of the teacher to take the youth of today and, through their guidance, mold them into the law abiding, respectable, useful citizens of tomorrow.--N.S. 4
