As a part of the annual Pan American Day celebration, Carol Combs Cseated in frontl reigned as Miss United States, Shirley Dauble, Miss Pan America, and Sharon Bebout, Miss.Mexico. Behind them are the attendants who represented the Pan American Republics. They are Marsha Kroener, Sandra Dunham, Joyce Benthall, Darlene Schillinger, Linda Barton, Sandra Snurpus, Delores Bergdolt, Nancy Altheide, Joyce Hartford, Mary Schoonmaker, Greta Seegmueller, Suzanne Thompson, Ruth Helfrich, Gayle Kaeuper, Joan Wettergreen, Shirley McCarter, Margaret Marynell, Carolyn Russell and Jean Schmitt. l Skip Knight received the Kiwanis basketball award for the year trorn Mr, Don Raeber, president of the downtown Kiwanis. Coach Clarence Riggs received the SIAC championship trophy tor the basketball team this year. Jim Byers was presented with the Kiwanis football award forthe season by Mr. Russell Barnett, president of the Kiwanis Club, Coach Herman Byers stands beside the city championship trophy which his l953 city, SIAC and state championship team retained for Reitz High School.
