In addition to those whose picture appear above, Eugene Stone, Arlyn Billerbeck, and Larry Crist were also reporters during the first semester. The newspaper assignments were assigned by the editor to various stu- dents on a rotating plan. The school news was printed each week in the Reinbeck Courier. The gossip column was called 'The Mop.' The Ram Blurr staff exchanged school news and school newspapers with several surrounding schools. In October four senior girls--Janice Paulsen, Neva Ackerman, Elinor Linder, and Marian Bicket attended the Iowa High School Journalism conven- tion at Des Moines. Our school news was broadcast over the KXEL Music for Moderne program each week.
