I ln the fall the marching band spent many strenuous hours practicing for their performances at the football games, both at home and out-of-town. They also marched and made special formationsatthe North Iowa Cedar League Football Jamboree which was held at Cedar Falls. The Labor Day parade and the pep rally parades were also led by them. The band officers for the year were: President,Ross Frahmg Secretary, Carol Cramer. The Pep Band, composed of Jean Shoup, Darlene Redfearn, David Hickman, Carol Cramer, Rachael Johnson, Gary Karkosh,LaVonne Watson, Barbara Schell- ing, Catherine Robinson, Charlotte Frier, Myrna Morrow, Marjorie Martens, Ross Frahm, and Donna Beier added pep at the home basketball games. Several new pep songs were presented by them. The flute trio, not pictured, was composed of Catherine Robinson, Mar- garet Strohbehn and Mary Dewolf. The concert band presented the following numbers at the school music night on March 6: WThe Post Medical Officer March,N NCameo,W NSerenade,' 'South of the Rio,W WRed Rhythm Valley,n and WManhatten Beach March.W The Junior Band was composed of around forty students from the fourth through the eighth grade. A few of the junior band members were also mem- bers of the Senior Band. The Junior Band played WChoral,n WShadowland,W and WThe Junior Band Marchn at music night.
