Sponsors . . . . . .Miss McCulloch J Mr. Tripp L Donn Lorenzen, chosen as a member-at-large from the high school, also served on the student council. We started the year with Lb members. During the year Emma Jean Olin moved away. Most of the juniors took part in glee club and mixed chorus and also F. H. A. and F. F. A. The boys participating in basketball were Donn Lorenzen, Bob Dutton, Lowell Marts, Bob Ohrt, Tom Mooty, Jim Bouska, Melvin Guelner, and Bob Hal- den. Donn Lorenzen was one of the first five. The girls in basketball were Shirley Barfels, Rozella Blakely, Francine Billerbeck, Frances Billerbeck, Mary Lynch, Dorothy Malcomson, lla Toben, Mavis Nehring, and LaVonne Watson. Darlene Redfearn, our candidate for Homecoming, was elected Queen. Our dunking booth at the carnival was very successful. Quite a few of the juniors were members of the Pep Club. Marie Rags- dale was one of the cheerleaders for the varsity team. Marie Ragsdale was editor and Billie Jene Paton was assistant editor of The Ram Blurr. Some of the other members served on The Ram Blurr and The Smar staff. Twelve of the juniors displayed their talent when they presented the junior class play, 'Junior Prom.' On Friday, May ll, the juniors were hosts to the seniors, faculty mem- bers,and school board members at the banquet and prom,for which 'Candy1and' was the theme.
