The Heinttck News sturted the l9L9 season with pre-school workouts. Four lettermen were back from the undefeated team of l9L8: Chuck Brandhorst, Jerry Ehrig, Bill Frei, and Joe Murphy. There were four objectives in thc l9A9 season to be reached. They were as follows: l. Go undefeated. 3. Beat our old rival Grundy Center. 2. Beat Traer. L. Hin the North Iowa Cedar League Conference. The first objective was lost when Tama defeated the Hams in their firstggre The second objective was won. The last two objectives relied on the winning of the Grundy game. .nese were else won WHGH the name defeated the Spartans 13-7.
