GIRL ' S TRACK 1 976 Quality not quantity is an excellent description of the ' 7fi girl ' s track team. The team never exceeded thirteen in numtier, Init they always seemed to come up with enough points to he resjx ' ctcd. The team excelled in the sprints led by Jean Brown and Edwina Hamilton. Edwina was the con- ference champion in the 220. Georgia Hannah and Belinda Blount were two of the cla.ss hurdlers in the conference. Repre- sented by seven girls in the division meet held in Wilmington, these young ladies finished a respectable fourth. Among the out- standing players for Ross last year were Dwight King, who was voted our most valuahli- player, and Cliff Fretlriiks. who was our most improved player. Both Dwight and Cliff, along with Dave Fronczak, Paul Kelley and Jim Ciarvey will be returning this year.
