Tillery Qualifies for State Finals The ' 76 Iratk team was one of the top four teams m the confer- enee. Plagued by mjunes toward the end of the season, many of our stand-outs were not able to compete in the sectional meet. The team ' s leading point getters were Al Tillery— the conference 1 10 champion and slate qualifier, Lee Little and Milton Chisolm in the hurdles, our mile relay team, and the distant running of David Parker. Coaches Daskal and D ' alp look forwanl to the ' 77 track sea.son. Many of their sprinters and members of the relay team will be returning. Al Chance, Bernard Gilliard, John Trogden and Daris John- son are expected to be team stand-outs. h Sport 116

GIRL ' S TRACK 1 976 Quality not quantity is an excellent description of the ' 7fi girl ' s track team. The team never exceeded thirteen in numtier, Init they always seemed to come up with enough points to he resjx ' ctcd. The team excelled in the sprints led by Jean Brown and Edwina Hamilton. Edwina was the con- ference champion in the 220. Georgia Hannah and Belinda Blount were two of the cla.ss hurdlers in the conference. Repre- sented by seven girls in the division meet held in Wilmington, these young ladies finished a respectable fourth.
