The Reid Ross Varsity Basketball Team is experi- encing a first this year. Ross has been a contender for the division title all season. The Cougars began the season with a fine showing in the Holiday Christmas tournament at E. E. Smith. Coaches Underwood and Woullard are lucky in the fact that they can go to their bench with confidence. The Cougars offer an inside threat with McCants and Wright and an outside threat with Chance, McKinnon, Packer, and Sales. The loss of Mr. Hustle , Eric Dawson in the Seventy First game hurt the Cougars, but our young men bounced back to prove our depth and determina- tion to become a basketball power. With the outside shooting of Sharon Taylor, Reginia Rerd and Edwina Hamilton the Lady Cougars have definitely an outside shooting threat. The re- boundmg and inside game falls on the shoulders of Dalphine Murray and Nita MeDonald. Next year promi.ses to be much better. .Ml starters will return except Nita. We the staff of the ROHIAN, would like to take this opportunity to express our sincere appreciation to those individuals and organizations who have sponsored and supported the ROHIAN during the 1976-77 school year. We would also like to thank the teachers for their understanding throughout the year, for we realize that there were times when it was not convenient for them to release students from their classes, and yet they made this sacrifice so that our annual would be one that they could be proud of. A special commendation should also be presented to club members, officers, and spon- sors for their faithful participation in being present for club pictures, even on short notice.
