Let's get together and do the old lLIAD! Hello, Homer fans, from Thessaly to the Peloportnesos, this is Win Elliot, from Troad Arena in Asia Minor, where we are bringing you the ll4 year Trojan War. Up here in the press box with us is J.J. Zeus, referee for the match, Tell us, J.J., what do you think' of the two teams? Well, I. . . Cool it, J.J., you can hold the intramural comments. By the way, see me in the penalty box after the game. Before the action gets underway, a few prenotes: ln the nets tonight for the Achaeans is Marcel Achilles, and for the Trojans, Eno Hector. The Trojan threat is the Golden Boy, Phoebus Apollo, farmed out from Olympus after he forfeited his scholarship and was traded by Delmonico's. All right, play starts, and-Holy Moley!-Agamemnon, the Achaean captain, is going off for kidnapping Chryses' fair-haired daughter! A major penalty? Boy, this guy Zeus is a lot sterner than the other refs! This gives the Trojans the advantage. At his defense, Chryses whirls and sacrifices to Apollo, he's got a breakaway! Apollo comes in on the Greek camp --he shoots-SCORE! SCORE! -Apollo, from Chryses, on a breakaway! Phoebus Apollo, taking a sacrifice from Chryses, rode right in from Olympus and scored! You've got to hold your brains in after that one! Wait! Before the faceoff, Achilles is yelling at his teammate Agamemnon-he's going King Kong! He wants him to return Chryses, but Agamemnon challenges him! Alternate Nestor tries to reconcile the two with words of wisdom, but Achilles stalks off, and-Kazinga! -the Achaeans are defending an open net! Don't go away-this war isn't over yet! Now what exactly do we mean by that? YEAH, WHAT EXACTLY DO WE MEAN BY THAT? Well, l'll tell you, Philo Kvetch . . . The crown, however, had to fall to Richard Ouzounian for his masterful portrayal of the wonderfully witty Common Man. To Michele Curran, Donna Gabites, and Susan Martinetti-the three visiting players from Marymount-the performance owed a large part of its success. ln a Spring mood, Director John Wright hit upon Rick Be- soyan's Little Mary Sunshine, a merry musical which, like A Man For All Seasons, played to theater audiences just a few seasons ago. l73 Q , Your name, your class, and why you are here.
