Intrepid men they were who sailed these ships: strong-willed men who their course and with tenacious purpose held it, till they won the port they sought .... Exciting, too, were their voyages, for many times these ma- faced appalling storms or threaded their cautious way among hidden or chanced upon strange tropical islands of breath-taking beauty. Symbol of courage, symbol of adventure, and of effort crowned by success -let the caravel be the symbol, too, of four years spent at Regis .... Foreword The sailor of olden times loved the sea. And so, with his days before the mast over, the old tar loved to find a favored nook down by the wharfs and enthrall an appreciative audience with yarns of his adventures. Thus he lived, in spirit at least, on the heaving deck of his cara- vel long after he had for the last time climbed down from the masthead, Another year at Regis High School-for the Class of 1951, the last year-is drawing to a close. Our days here have been crowded, and we regret to see them end. ln this Yearbook, it has been the privilege of the Editors to retell in pictures and in the written word, the tale of our journey. Thus may the friends who have not made the journey share its adventures with us: thus, too, may we in after years live again in spirit in the halls of Regis. 1j1:Qf-L3fAiMi4f'- A' Q ,i' Qff.
