In '69 When it had just begun I remember yelling Neil's Number One! We whitewashed the bluegolds And we tried our luck With the seniors But Mark I-Ialbleib kept saying, I'm a duck! Girls, get those towels off! You can't walk and chew gum! Those were some of the greetings lNhen phys- ed time would come. Remember speech class and short story: Note the dialogue and tone. And the realization that You killed jim Crow. In our sophomore year The Cards smelled defeet, And cutting up frogs Was really neat. We made a green giant Of paint and snow And the call of the wild Was, Wagons, I-Io! Mardi Gras came And Dick Kaiser was king And in phys-ed class Terry Polus did his sit-up thing. I.n our junior year We asked, Where the hell's john? And Charlie Brown was done By Oral Comm. We read Macbeth And Thoreau as well And the queen of the prom Was Paula Bell. Then senior year came It all seemed to drag And poor john Fisher Broke his leg. There was Super Ego And Id, and Rednecks to be wrung And Masses and candy sales Were lots of fun. We've been through a lot And we've got lots to show We've come a long way But we've still far to go.
